About Me
I grew up in Upstate New York, and I now live in London, UK with my husband and two sons. I am usually either planning games or playing them with my sons.
My Background
Prior to authoring activity books for primary school children, I worked as a professional economist and market research analyst. The skills learned in these jobs help me evaluate opportunities in children’s books, and design visually accessible learning tools for young audiences. I have an MBA in marketing and a Master’s degree in Economics, and I’m passionate about providing children with books that allow them to enhance their cognitive ability through play. I’m particularly interested in the development of cognitive capacities and executive functioning, and was surprised to discover that many things we do at home can influence abilities in these areas.

My Partners
The Play It! series is co-authored by Antimo Marrone. Antimo earned a Masters degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and has taught piano in Italy and the United Kingdom since 2000. He has instructed students of all levels, from beginner to advanced, in technique, music theory, improvisation, composition, and history. Antimo is passionate about developing innovative techniques to help students learn more effectively and become more motivated, and seeks to apply this passion to his love of music and piano.
